Delegates from the 38th National Irrigation Congress, organized by the Spanish Association of Irrigation and Drainage (AERYD), have visited some of our equipment belonging to the ‘Implementation Project for the Adoption of Precision Agriculture and Aquifer Monitoring in the Campo de Cartagena Irrigation Community’.
More than forty people, including technicians, engineers, and other members of the AERYD, the Campo de Cartagena Irrigation Community (CRCC) and the CARM visited the Grupo G’s farm, where some of our moisture probes are located, forming part of our globally pioneering sensorization project covering 44,000 hectares of farmland.

Félix Pérez, project manager, and María Manchado, sales representative, explained to the attendees how the various probes and sensors that make up the equipment work.
Members of Congress have expressed interest in this project, which measures soil moisture at various depths, the electrical conductivity of the soil saturation extract, as well as ambient and soil temperature and relative humidity, and changes in the water table, among other factors.
The 38th National Irrigation Congress was held at the UPCT campus from November 3 to 5.
